A Day in the Life of Madefabulous

I basically just threw this outfit together without even really thinking about it. All I knew was that I wanted to keep it as simple and comfortable as possible, since I was going to be out and about with the boy. We had a lot on our agenda; thrifting, viet sandwiches, making terrariums, and potting succulents and cacti for the first time.

I threw on this embroidered floral top and paired it with my new favorite cutoffs from Urban Outfitters (these babies were on sale!). These cutoffs are definitely my favorite; I literally wear them almost every other day, which I know sounds gross, but in all honesty, I could care less, haha. They seriously go with everything and they're super comfortable.

On another note, the weather is finally beginning to cool down! I'm going to make it a habit to bring my camera on more adventures and take outfit photos.

En route to San Diego (food porn/ootd kinda post)

As I'm typing this post, I am drooling over the photographs of food I had during my stay in San Diego. These photos are long overdue (my trip was a month ago!), but I've finally got around to posting them on the blog. I miss San Diego and all its glory already; the food, the weather, the sunshine, and friends.

I only managed to snap photos of one of my outfits during my stay because I was too busy having way too much fun scoping out the city, so this one outfit will have to do. Whenever I get the chance, I love mixing prints together and creating a statement that defines my individuality and creativity. Found this old Urban Outfitters striped tank top tucked in my closet and knew immediately that it would go perfect with these galaxy leggings. Paired this look with one of my favorite studded ankle boots and topped it off with a mustard beanie. Beanies are clearly something I cannot live without; they're a necessity, no matter what the weather's like!

It's amazing how drastic the weather can change over the course of just a few days, but it was good timing to whip out these siiiick flower print leggings that are coming soon to the shop. They definitely make a bold statement and wearing these leggings the other day was the perfect way to welcome spring in full swing.

Fremont

It was freezing this past weekend and I was so underdressed for the weather (the photos do not display how windy and chilly it actually was!). Went for a casual stroll with the family in Fremont to check out the Chinese New Year festivities, however, there wasn't much to be seen, which was pretty disappointing. I've only been to Fremont a couple of times and I've never taken pictures there before until now. There's definitely some culture in Fremont, but other than that, I personally don't find myself hanging out there very often only because there's not much for me to do there. Times like these really make me miss living in NYC, where you're completely surrounded by culture and diversity.
